Define "Modified" in Standard Copying

Postby DCiAdmin on Wed Nov 07, 2012 11:56 am

My management has requested clarification of the word "modified" as used here:

Standard Copying will copy new, missing, or modified files, but it will not delete any files.

I understand "modified" to mean a change in time stamp (file modified time/date) or file size. Does Syncovery have alternative modifications that are considered that would cause a file to copy?

Thank you!

Normally only timestamp and file size.

However you can also enable a binary comparison, but can take just as long as copying the file again.

You can also choose to copy all files always regardless of their timestamps.
