Execute a command After - Batch file problem

Postby v7cjl on Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:23 am

Hi,

So far I am very impressed with the Super Fliexible tool. I am able to run a command before my file sync runs, the problem that I have is that I want to run a batch file that shutsdown the desitination machine when the sync has finished. I have the batch file and if I run it manually it works, but adding it to run after the transfer does not work. Looking in the logs there is an error after the batch file statement

Executed c:\admin\pstools\shutdown512.bat, Exit Code=1

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

Hi,

it depends on the contents of your batch file. In some situations, SHUTDOWN.EXE requires the /F parameter.

I would recommend to use the shutdown options on the right side of the "Job" tab sheet instead.

Can you confirm what "Shutdown After This Job" does?. I do not want to shutdown the machine running the SuperFlexible software, I want to shutdown the remote machine.

Oh, then it's wrong. You need to debug your batch file.

I cannot find a problem with my batch file, I can run it manually no issue, I am also using a "Before" batch file to wake the remote machine up and that works fine. Can you confirm what the "Exit Code=1" means?

Exit code 1 is the exit code from your batch file.

Maybe you can post it here and I can have a look.
