FTP SSL connection for data connection

Postby ipopipo on Thu Oct 21, 2010 5:17 pm

Hi,

I use SFFS for a long time now, to backup important data @work.
FTP on port 990 (SSL connection) to a box at home with filezilla FTP server.
@work i have a high speed internet.....but SFFS hangs sometimes for 20 sec (= FTP server time out) after "SSL connection for data connection established" . FTPserver disconnects.
With 100's of (small) files, remaining transfer time goes really up.

Most of the time, there is no delay and it is working like a charm!

(000975)22-10-2010 0:12:53 - backup (*.*.*.*)> 226 Transfer OK

Any ideas...
Thanks!

Hello,

please try the different FTP libraries 1,2,3 which you can select on the FTP dialog. In addition, on the Files tab sheet, please specify a number of files to copy in parallel, such as 3 or 4 or 5 files.

Thank you for your quick response!

It seems that the FTP library did the trick :P
1 did not work, so 2 seems to work sometimes and 3 is OK!

I do not know what the difference is, but.....nevermind.
