Hi, I have a profile that backups my PC onto a NAS drive (let's say the rithgpath in the profile is \\x.x.x.x\backup).
I need also to have an archive folder, e.g. \\x.x.x.x\RecycleBin\, where older versions and deleted files are preserved (with limitations).
What I did:
1) To have the N old version stored there, in the Versioning Panel I set "Keep multiple backup versions" to N and that's fine.
2) I need also that files that are deleted from the PC (and deleted from the backup after the profile run), to be moved to the archive (NAS recycle bin). For that, after some attempts I saw that versioning panel can't do that, but I had to go to "Files" panel, tab "Deletions" and set "Move Deleted Files into a specified Folder" (maybe as a suggestion would it be easier to have all versioning settings into a unique panel?)
There I found a problem: if the folder name is %RIGHTPATH%\..\RecycleBin, the profile actually moves the files to my PC, so %RIGHTPATH% is not recognized. Is that a bug?
The other question is about limiting the archive: I can set the maximum N number of overwritten files in the version tab, but of course there is not limit to be set for deleted files.
Then it would be useful (feature request ) to be able to set an age limit on what is preserved, both for versions and for deleted files (like "deleted versions and deleted files older that 2 years").
What do you think?
Thanks a lot
Giuse
