How do I configure Syncovery to ...

Postby markstahler on Wed Apr 23, 2014 10:28 am

Syncovery is a great tool. We use it at work for a couple tasks. I am pushing for changes that will allow us to abandon some custom software of ours in favor of Syncovery.

I need to configure Syncovery to monitor a directory that becomes very large (up to 2 Tb) and transfer any new files to a network destination. These files are copied at the destination to their final position and normally deleted to conserve hard drive space.

Is there a way to configure Syncovery to transfer these files (real time, or queued) but don't worry about what happens to them on the destination computer after they have been successfully copied? I do not want to run into the circumstance where many Gbs have been copied but once they are removed from the destination Syncovery will recopy them. If required I can install the remote service on the destination computer.

Thank you.

Hello,
yes, you can choose the SmartTracking operating mode, which ignores deleted files by default.

Alternatively, you can use the Archive Flag filter checkmarks.

Best wishes,
