Is it possible to limit number of versions of zip files?

Postby sandstones on Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:41 pm

I have a lot of small files that I want to create a zip archive of, do that every week, but only keep a few copies of the zip file.

If I turn on zip archives and put a timestamp in the name, that does the creation fine. But if I say I only want to keep 2 or 5 copies I get an error that the zip option and version option cannot both be set. Is there any way to do this?

BTW, I was trying to search the forums to see if the issue was mentioned anywhere. However, every word I put in gets rejected as too common (zip, archive, version, etc. etc.) I'd like to suggest that using words in combination or restricting them to titles makes even common words very useful in search. Could that restriction be lightened up, or is something not working correctly?

Thanks
