Just new files no initial sync

Postby petermcl on Wed May 08, 2013 2:39 pm

Hi

I am using a trial copy of syncovery and would like to just copy new files to a backup location. I have looked thru the the posts but dont see a match to my requirements. I would like to avoid doing an initial full sync due to the folder size and Wan bandwidth. I have checked "Use real time synchronization" and un-checked "Run profile entirely once then use real time synchronization" but the first run is doing a full scan and wanting to copy 210GB. Is it possible to skip the initial full sync and just copy new files?

Many thanks

Peter

You could use a date/time filter.

You could also use real-time sync but need to switch to the event-based mode ("Process Individual Events").

However, even a full scan sees the file which are already there, so it should only copy new files if the older ones are already there.
