Log in to forum not working properly

If I try to log in using the top right "login" icon, a small window appears, which my password manager fills in. then click "submit" does nothing . the window just sits there.

so, I proceed to "post a new topic" . Then, I am asked to log in. Log in works from this window. but if i want to post again, I am asked to login again. The site doesn't seem to remember that I logged in 2 minutes ago.

I have tried 2 different browsers: Firefox and Vivaldi (Chrome)

Login seems problematic here.

I know, you are wondering how I posted this if I can't log in. I find the only way to login is from a post reply window.

None of the other logins work .

Then why offer the other login windows? Only people knowing the secret method get to login and participate?

It's a defect. I am not the owner of the forum so I don't know if it can be fixed.
