Monitoring folder on a removable drive prevents ejecting it

Postby Alexander on Sat Nov 05, 2011 7:44 pm

Hello,

If I set up a profile with real-time monitoring of a folder located on a removable drive, Windows prevents me from ejecting this drive until the SFFS scheduler is stopped. Stopping the scheduler, ejecting the drive & starting the scheduler again is rather inconvenient.

I guess it is Windows limitation, but maybe I just missed some setting to change this behavior or it can be implemented?

Thanks in advance for any help.

OK. If so - is it possible to start/stop scheduler from the command line in order to automate the process?

Yes, you can call SuperFlexibleSynchronizer.exe with the command line parameters

/STOPTIMER and /AUTOSTART to stop/start the scheduler.

Thanks (unfortunately these command line switches are missing from the reference I found here - http://www.superflexible.com/docprofi.htm)!
It's now easy to automate drive ejection.
