Move file to a folder after upload

Postby bish79a on Wed Jun 17, 2015 10:21 am

Hi,

I want to move a file from a remote folder (using SFTP) and after that want to delete it and move it to a backup folder (in the same remote destination), however getting the following error in the 2nd step (delete + Move)

"the option to move deleted file into a folder is turned OFF for one or both sides because the folder setting is not appropriate (either a root directory, or not a folder)

Can you please help me with this.

In general, the folder for deleted files needs to be specified for the source side and it must be your local backup folder, for example C:\Backup. In recent Syncovery versions, no deletions folder needs to be specified for the SFTP side. Older versions may need a folder there too, such as /Deleted, even if it is not used.

The main profile's destination must be the SFTP folder, and the secondary destination is the folder for deleted files for the source side (because files are deleted from the source).

You can also post a complete log file so I can see the settings or send it to support@syncovery.com.
