One to many profile

Postby nietssemaj on Thu May 14, 2015 7:06 am

What would be the best way to setup a mesh style synchronization with multiple sites?

4 locations with the same data. All 4 locations get updates/deletes/moves/creations.

I would like to keep all 4 locations in sync with the 'most recent' data. Is there any way to do this?

I would recommend to use one location as the master, and install Syncovery only there and create one profile for each of the other locations. So I assume you need two-way syncs between the master and the other locations. To be able to recognize deletions etc., Syncovery must be configured to use the SmartTracking mode.

To avoid incompletely copied files from being picked up by another running job, please use the checkmark "Automatically resume - copy with temporary filename" on the Files tab sheet in the profiles.

You can use a regular schedule, or real-time. If real-time, please use the real-time mode "Process Complete Folders".

It might be beneficial to set it to run only one job at a time, but this is not strictly necessary. You can choose this on the Scheduler tab sheet.
