5.18 & 5.19 Job on win shutdown doesn't work anymore

Postby bkreutz on Mon Nov 08, 2010 11:19 am

Hi!

I have multiple jobs scheduled to start at windows shutdown event. Until the version 5.18 it worked fine. After 5.18 (and still in the version 5.19) it doesn't work any more. I think the job is executed but after that it just doesn't let windows to shutdown. The message says: (Waiting for) ExtremeSyncSer.

I am using Windows 7 Pro. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Thanx, BK

I was trying to test this 'shutdown' feature also, and had also problem. Because i set to shuwdown in '10 seconds' but it did not work. There was some kind of windows pop-up message telling that the system was going to shutdown in a while (but not the 10 seconds i set!). Also on Windows 7 64bits, SFFS installled as a service.
Kind regards,

The shutdown jobs themselves work fine.

But it seems that the latest versions may sometimes prevent a shutdown from completing. This will be fixed in the next update.

The configurable shutdown wait time does not apply to this situation. Windows will wait until the jobs are complete and then do the shutdown.
