Sync results not updated when manual syncing with timer on

Postby M_Meyer on Mon Aug 23, 2010 7:01 am

Hi,
here the Sync results on the main window are not properly updated when using the background timer and then manually starting a profile.
The manual sync result is not shown on the main window.

Additionally, I sometimes get the error "database could not be written" when a manually started profile runs and the scheduler tries to run the profile, too.

Is manual starting of a timed profile not allowed?

Yes sometimes it can happen that manual results are not picked up by the scheduler, but the display shows the scheduler's data. We will look into this.

You can start a job manually, but not at the same time when the scheduler is running it. If you want to do that you must stop the running background job. You can do that using the STOP button in the tool bar, or go to the Scheduler tab sheet and click the Cancel link.

Did you have the chance to look into the not updated sync results when manual syncing with timer on?

To update the display, please switch to the Scheduler tab sheet and back. We will have more pressing issues to work on for the next 2-3 months.

Ahh, switching to the Scheduler tab sheet and back is an easy workaround.
Thanks for the hint!
