Bug: Altering an unavailable site won't connect (5.30b)

Postby Ivangelion on Thu Jan 20, 2011 4:27 am

Reproduce steps:

0. Use Service Scheduler.

1. Create a profile named "profile1" in which the right site is specified with an unavailable network path.
(e.g. the right path is \\domain\path\folder but to specify with \\domain1\path\folder)
And use two-way standard copying, sync schedule, together with real-time sync.

2. After checking that the Next Run is "Waiting for Availability", alter the profile and specify the correct path.

3. And the Next Run is STILL "Waiting for Availability".

Another Issue:

4. Create another profile "profile2" in which all settings are the same as that of profile1
(right site path is the correct one).

5. After checking that the Next Run of profile2 is "Monitoring Folders" (when using real-time sync),
delete profile1.

6. Rename "profile2" to "profile1", and now the Next Run will be "Waiting for Availability".

The above issues can be resolved by stopping then starting the service. However if there are many running profiles in a production environment, the sites will be temporally not synced. Please help check and alter the program. Thanks.

I will look into it, but our to-do list is very long.
