Minimum pause between actions

Postby fuzzyslide on Fri Jan 21, 2011 6:28 pm

I'm running version 5.3b. I want a profile to run once each time a network connection becomes available. Selecting "Run once as soon as the drives or volumes involed become available" sounds like the right way to go. Trouble is "Minimum pause between actions" is automatically checked with this option as well, and can't be unchecked. The result is that the profile is sheduled and re-runs with the period specified as the minimum pause. I don't want this, and there is no way to turn it off. It sounds like it is a measure against re-running each time a flakey connection toggles in and out, but doesn't work like that. What can be done? Is it fixed yet in 5.3d?

Thanks.

There is no way to let it run only once when a connection becomes available. It will always be re-run as long as the connection is available. The interval is the minimum pause between actions. I will note your feature request.

But why? Surely that is what the scheduler is for. At least allow minimum pause to be turned off.

If the minimum pause is off, that means the profile runs continuously and never stops.

This feature was not designed for the use case that you have in mind. It was designed for a different use case.
