One-Way Real-Time

How do you configure One-Way real-time sync? I want the files on the Left never to be disturbed only files on the right should be real-time updated.

When you create a new profile, just make sure you only have the copying direction "Left to Right". If you also want deleted files to be deleted from the right-hand side, choose "Exact Mirror", otherwise leave it at "Standard Copying".

In the lower area of the profile, click the "Monitoring / Real-Time Sync" tab. This is one of the three tabs from the "Schedule" category.

On the dialog that pops up, you need to read thru the options and make some decisions. Most importantly, again about deletions and if there should be a delay for deletions.

Finally, it makes sense to also specify a regular schedule, such as once per hour or once during the night. This will make a full comparison, just be be sure that nothing was missed in real time.

The source side of the real-time sync must be a local hard disk or a hard disk on another Windows computer on the LAN. Most other devices do not send real-time notifications.
