Unattended / Silent Install

Hi

Do you have any recommendations for installing SuperFlexible? We have a network with about 600 users / PCs and want to do a unattended/silent install.

Is there some sort of central management tool we can use or do you have to install SuperFlexible and then place/copy out the INI-file with settings on the computer you´re installing?

What are your recommendations?

Hello,

the best way would be to invoke the installer with /SILENT or /VERYSILENT and after that, you can overwrite the default INI file with yours, and possibly apply some registry settings.

ExtremeSync is always included, because it is the scheduler.

Or do you mean the "ExtremeSync Remote Service"?

Yes we ment the "ExtremeSync Remote Service" that you can choose in the installation sequance.

Oh. Usually you only need it on servers, but in some cases it may make sense on workstations too. You can add the command line parameter /TYPE=megafull to install everything.

Two last questions
Whats the line parameter for turning of automatic launch after installation?
Is there a manual so i dont have to bother you whith more questions, havnt been able to find one?
although the response time is outstanding.

There is no command line parameter for that, so you need to invoke SuperFlexibleSynchronizer.exe from your script.

When yoe install SuperFlexible with /TYPE=megafull, a shortcut is added to the desktop. Is there a way to install Superflexibe without placing the shortcut on the desktop?

you can try

/TASKS="mainicons,quicklaunchicon"

which leaves out the "desktopicon"
