Greetings,
This is another feature request. I have a profile that is backing up a large amount of data (200GB+) over WAN via VPN to an offsite location. I have other profiles that backup much smaller amounts of (but frequently changing) data to the same remote location (so the profiles all share the same WAN pipeline). Because the large profile is so much data, and because the smaller profiles are more important, frequently changing data I can't wait for the large profile to complete because that will take weeks or months, potentially.
What I would like is a setting to make a profile only attempt the next N amount of space (where N is a user configurable amount, eg 1GB) per profile run. So even though there is much more than 1GB, for example, to backup the profile would only attempt the next 1GB in the current run. In this way I can slowly work my way through the large backup set. I would want this setting to be optional since for most of my profiles I would want the profile to backup the entire backup set; it is only for the large ones that are going offsite that I'd like to be able limit the size per run.
I know approximately how long the backups can take and with the above feature I could schedule the large profile to run periodically in between the smaller, daily profiles. Currently the only way I know to accomplish this is to manually run the large profile and then cancel it before the small ones run so that it is not hogging the bandwidth, but that is not very ideal. I hope all that makes sense!
As always, thanks for your consideration!
