Delayed Write Failed

Postby alexia_net on Wed Apr 06, 2011 3:22 am

Hi. I am getting this error during the sync jobs

{Delayed Write Failed} Windows was unable to save all the data for the file \Device\LanmanRedirector. The data has been lost. This error may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

I have several jobs to sync, but only 3 of them can run simultaneously. So if a fourth job want to starts, it will be pending until a job which is in progress is over. Before that, I was having just 3 jobs with all the files contained in these 3 jobs; but because i needed to manage the sync jobs better i had to split them in to several jobs. So i have started to get those errors. The problem is, can I trust the files which are being copied through the sync job if i get this error? Can I tweak superflexible somehow? Thank you.

This is a networking error. It has nothing to do with our software. To ensure that the data has been copied successfully, you need to run the jobs again until no more errors are shown.

Maybe the destination device can't handle so much data so fast.

Hi. I have run several tests and it seems to have something to do with the performance of the server. I have reduced the number of threads which run simultaneously and it seems to be working ok. However, even thou the server har a gigabit card, its own backup network and a raid 5 SATA I can run only 2 jobs simultaneously. If I run 3 i get into trouble. Could you recommend me a configuration so that i could run more than 2 jobs simultaneously? Also, can i change the location of the databases which SuperFlexible creates for each job? Usually this is created on C drive and that drive usually does not have that much space. Thank you.

Unfortunately the storage device seems to be buggy, so I cannot help.

The location of the databases can be specified on the Program Settings dialog, tab sheet Misc.
