Files not deleted on destination

Postby Alain on Tue Jun 21, 2011 1:06 pm

Exact Mirror Profile is not deleting all files on destination.
Safety, Unattended Mode, 4 first options are Marked, Maximum 100 %.
In log files, there is always 3 phases for deleting folders.
-Folder marked for deletion: \folder abc\def\etc
-Folder deletion will be attempted: \\Destnation server\folder abc\def\etc
-Folder not deleted: \\Destnation server\folder abc\def\etc (The directory is not empty.)
How can I can rid of this and have a exact mirror replicated on the destination server ?
Thank you
Alain

Have you tried the latest version from our web site? It will delete unnecessary files such as Thumbs.db which can prevent a folder deletion. If that's not it, please go look what kind of files are still there. They might be hidden files. But make sure you have the latest version first.

As you can see, there are still a lot of files. You need to check why these aren't deleted. Either there will be messages about these files further up in the log, or maybe the file types are excluded? Check the Exclusion Masks. If excluded files should be deleted from the destination so that folders can be emptied, you need to choose "Don't Copy" for the exclusions rather than "Ignore totally".
