Need help with backup configuration

Postby sirespen on Tue Sep 27, 2011 8:54 am

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to create a backup job that will work similarly to time machine. The backup job should run once an hour and keep multiple versions of the files. What I want to have is that the copied folder-structure is exactly the same as the source (like a mirrored copy, or last step in time machine) and that the older and deleted files are moved in a different folder.

I have found the option for versioning, so that it will create a new folderstructure with older versions of the files in a new location. I want to do the same with the deleted files!

Any hints?

Many thanks

For deleted files, the option is on the tab sheet Files->Deletions. There you can choose "Move Deleted Files Into A Specified Folder". Because it accepts separate folders for the left and right-hand sides, you can just specify the same one twice. You really only need one for the right-hand side but the program will be happier if you fill both fields.

Hi,

thanks for your reply. I tried it before, but probably something went wrong. I'll try again and see if it works.

Many thanks
