Here in rural Central America we are allocated an upload speed of about 350kbps. We are just starting to upload to Google's cloud, and the database file for iNotePad consist of thousands of files.
Besides a few dozen of files that get the (400) Google storage error, and we do not know what to do with them yet, the upload slowed down from 340kbps the first hour to literally right now 700B/s = 5.6kbps. FileSynchronizer indicates that the 18GB file will take some 27 hours.
BTW, we checked our speed during the upload and it is excellent for our location.
This file is of great importance, because it contains one of our knowledge bases shared by several co-workers. We are anxious to have it save, but the errors are worrisome.
Furthermore, should a restore need arise, the files need to be put back in a mirrored order or the entries will be ordered alphabetically instead of by the topic the way they were entered.
For instance, when we look at the file in 'finder, we need to right-click to open in Show Package Content, and we see the files alphabetically in Folder carrying the name of each heading. Each folder contains a rtfd file and a hidden file .index_iNP. We mention this to emphasize the need for a backup that mirrors the original.
If you could suggest how we can increase the backup speed and ascertain that we upload and store in a manner that can be restored without problems.
Thank you kindly.
