Problem with automatic running of profiles

Postby miko0815 on Sun Feb 28, 2010 8:49 am

Hi,

I have created a profile to sync photos from my iMac to my NAS. I enabled the option in "Monitoring/Real-Time Sync" which says "Run Profile as soon as the drives become available". I added a new photo to my folder on the iMac and mounted the network drive by changing into the media volume on my NAS in Finder. The network drive got mounted, but no sync happened. When I run the profile manually, the sync worked fine.
Please let me know what's wrong with the way I do it.

Thanks,
Michael

Hello Michael,

you need to go to the Scheduler tab sheet and watch what the scheduler does. Maybe you need to start it. Or if it shows some different status, please let me know what it is.

Sometime the mount points change. To solve this, you can specify the volume name in the profile. For example, instead of /Volumes/MobileDisk/Foldername you can specify MobileDisk:/Foldername.
