Mirror: Deleting all files from a folder

Postby dangerwit on Wed Feb 01, 2012 11:00 am

Hello! I have a question about "Exact Mirror" mode.

I am trying to create an "exact mirror" but as I understand it, SFFS won't allow you to delete all the files in the destination folder as a safety precaution. Is there any way I can override that safety?

For now, I am using a date/time filter to only delete a subset, but we truly do want an exact mirror; that is, actually deleting all the files on the right side that are not on the left side.

The logged error:
"WARNING: the profile is executed without deletions because this program never deletes all files from one side of the sync (for safety reasons)."

Thank you!

The following switch needs to be added to the [Main] section of the INI file to enable 100% deletions in unattended mode:

UnattendedDeleteAllIsOK_IfDelPercIs100=YES

In addition, make sure that deletions are enabled on the tab sheet Safety->Unattended and that the "Special Safety Checks" are disabled because they will prevent deletions too.
