Amazon S3 server-side encryption

Postby Alexander on Fri Feb 03, 2012 9:03 pm

Hello.

Is there any way to use server-side AES-256 encryption for all the files uploaded to Amazon S3 for a certain profile? I can set this option for any file or entire folder via AWS Management Console, but all files uploaded with SSFS are initially not encrypted. And I couldn't find any option to force server-side encryption for S3.

Here is some information about API support for server-side encryption from Amazon.

This is not supported yet. I recommend to use the AES-256 encryption built into the synchronizer. I do not have any ETA on supporting this feature.
