Wants to backup all files every time

Postby Stevens3131 on Mon Feb 06, 2012 4:28 pm

I have a remote client that is backing up 83GB of pictures via FTP to my off-site storage.

Every time the backup is started, it wants to send 83GB all over again. It does not appear to be copying duplicates.

I started off by copying all of the pictures folders from his hard drive to my off-site storage, then I setup his profile to backup the same folders to the same off-site storage folder.

I thought that it should see the files there and it would not go through the transfer because the files already existed. The initial transfer wants to take approximately 26 days.

What am I doing wrong...help please!

First, you need to look at the Sync Preview to find out if the files are seen on both sides or only on one. Are file dates and times and file sizes shown for both sides?

If they are shown, maybe the times are different so that it wants to upload the files again?
