Program now working with a few outstanding problems

Postby john7 on Mon Mar 12, 2012 11:57 am

WE have got server backups working OK for most data, using SSH via msftpsrvr. But there are regular problems with 3 areas, pdf, some data which might be name length and programs. As both WHS20112 servers allow the data the most like thing blocking is Super Flexible File Synchronizer, is there a length limit? But the pdf’s?

The synchronizer does not have any length limits, but most SFTP servers do.

The Permission Denied errors are directly from the SFTP server. There seem to be insufficient permissions configured - either in the user account that msftpsrvr uses, or in the folder's Security Settings. This is something you need to fix on the server.

PDFs might be blocked by security software, as they may contain viruses etc.

The "transfer error" means that after uploading, the synchronizer is unable to verify that the file has arrived and that the file size is correct. You can turn off the file size check on the second tab sheet of the Internet/FTP dialog.
