Synching with File Vault on one side

Postby harrharr2 on Thu Apr 05, 2012 4:21 am

Hello,

I want to build following system:

Synching from iMac and from Mac Book Air to NAS. So NAS is the central and the rest gets the stuff from and sends the new stuff to the NAS.
iMac has no File Vault enabled, Mac Book Air has File Vault enabled.

Is there anything with File Vault which could get me into trouble? I haven't enabled File Vault on Mac Book Air yet and I first want to see if someone has experience with such a setup.

Cheers,
Thomas

I don't use it but I don't expect any problems. You just need to unlock or open the File Vault manually to make sure its content is available.

You can make the first synchronizations in attended mode rather than using the scheduler, and then you will see exactly what the program wants to copy.
