Shutting down the computer?

Hi,

I have tried to find documentation about the "Shut down" option under the Job menu in the Advanced settings, but in the Help file I don't seem to find anything.

However, my aim is to SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER after SFFS has finished its job, but it seems that the "Shut down" option, is related to the programme itself, i.e. when set to on, it shuts down SFFS and NOT the entire PC????

So my question is thus, how can I get SFFS to shut down the whole computer after having executed a scheduled profile, running as a service???

The shutdown option does mean shut down the computer. Maybe something is preventing it on your system. There is also an intentional 5 minute delay.

You can try specifying a shutdown command line under Job->Execute before/after. For example:

SHUTDOWN.EXE /s /t 300 /d p:0:0

Thanks a lot for your very quick reply! I have tried the Shut Down command, but as the computer DID NOT shut down, but the scheduler stopped working, I assumed that maybe the "Shut Down" command, was related to SFFS.

Anyway, I will try your variation of shutting down via the "Execute before/after" option.

Out of curiosity, could you expand a bit on what the parametres /s, /t 300 and /d p:0:0 are, and what options I do have to change them according to my needs?

You can type shutdown in a Windows Command Prompt to see an explanation of the parameters.
