append file at destination

Postby crenauld on Fri Jul 20, 2012 12:51 am

Dear,
I'm not sure how to think about this one
On the left hand-side I have some text files, which are regenerated daily with new data, keeping the same filename.
On the right hand-side, I would like to have the same files, with the same filenames.
BUT
I would like that the left handside data is appened to the right handside corresponding file.

I'd rather like not to have to script this one in DOS, PERL, or the like

Thanks for any idea.

The synchronizer itself can't do it, but since version 6, you can specify an External Copying Tool on the Job tab sheet. The external tool could be a simple batch file containing the copy with appending command. You also need to uncheck the file size verification. I can give more detailed instructions if necessary, later.
