FTP seems to be recopying ??

Postby garues on Fri Aug 24, 2012 6:18 pm

Hi
I setup a profile to copy my data to NAS. As there was approx 80 gig in data I setup the backup to first do it on the LAN as to backup 80 gig thru FTP would take forever. All went well and successful. When I moved the NAS to another location 5 km away and used FTP it reports that there is 25 gig to be copied again. I know that there has only been a few documents that have been changed and should therefore be a quick update thru FTP. My connection would take 1.4 days to transfer 25gig. What can I do to correct this I have used standard copy in the profile Thanks Gary

You need to look at the Sync Preview and check if the files are shown as missing on the destination, or if the timestamps just don't match. Please let me know.

Hi Sorry for long delay in responding. The files are showing up on the destination. I have returned the NAS to the local lan and the location on the right hand side from ftp to \\NASBACKUP\ and it took 5 minutes to sync and 1.1 gig of data - not the 25 it was doing when using ftp. Is there a solution for this please

Again, you need to look at the Sync Preview and tell me if the timestamps and file sizes are shown for both sides or not. If they are shown, what are the differences?
