Numbering after File Name

Postby D95gas on Thu Apr 04, 2013 1:18 am

Hi,
Just started to try this application and so far loving it. Have had a good read of the various docs, but unfortunately I either cannot see what I am looking for, or the eyes are failing badly :)

On backing up "My Documents" to my SkyDrive, I have noticed that after each file name there is an alphanumeric reference, what is this ?

Example:
The Quick Brown Fox Doc.d20031008-u093106

Also, any near upgrade to allow selection of SkyDrive the same way you can select Google Drive ?

Many thanks

Hello,

this is the "Filename Encoding" which adds the file's timestamp to the file. You can turn it off on the Versioning tab sheet.

Filename Encoding should be used if you want to preserve the files' timestamps but your server (such as SkyDrive) does not support keeping the original modification dates.

I hope to add more direct support for SkyDrive soon.
