Write errors to Win Event Log

Postby jgranade on Mon Jan 28, 2013 9:41 am

As a feature suggestion, it would really enhance the product for us if errors were automatically written the event log. We have monitoring software for our servers and this would allow us to setup alerts based on those possible events rather than send emails. Email alerts require us to parse those emails to create a alert/ticket in our system. Ideally, the events would be written to the Windows event log and we'd have a list of all those possible event ID's, severity, and description so we could create the required custom monitors.

Any update on this? This is something we are really waiting for so we can tie alerts in to our alerting system rather than just have email notification.

Just another bump...we're still waiting on this. What we need is a list of Event ID's and descriptions so we can put alerts on it...and of course Syncovery to write those events. ;)

The new version 6.68a adds support for writing various kinds of events to the Windows Event Log. The Program Settings dialog has a new tab sheet where you can choose the event types you need.

I'll send a list a bit later.
