Backing up to a Synology NAS

Postby tomcat on Sat Jun 08, 2013 11:01 am

I'm trying to figure out how to configure to back up my macbook to a Synology NAS DS411j in this case, although I doubt it matters). I'm especially unclear on what connection to use: ftp, ssh, etc.

If the NAS is on the same LAN, you should mount it as a volume and choose it as a regular folder.

I too have a Synology NAS and can confirm that once it's mounted and its path used as the destination in a scheduled backup profile, Syncovery can then mount the drive when it's not mounted.
