Left To Right exact mirror with Deletions saved separately

Postby hamper on Thu Jun 27, 2013 6:42 am

Hello,

I am trying to make a profile where I make left to right exact mirror with deletions (on left) are saved/moved to separate folder.

I kind of got to the point where Syncovery does that, but in unattended mode it keeps saying that deletions disabled :(

Please can anyone help me what settings I need to set for this to work?

thank you.

The folder for deleted files is specified in the profile under Files->Deletions.

Deletions need to be allowed on the tab sheet Safety->Unattended Mode.

If problems remain, please look into the log file. The reason why deletions are disabled is in the log file.

As the logs says:

Deletions are disabled because the right-hand folder for deleted files is not OK.
Right folder to move deleted files into is: H:\Public\IT\t2_DELETED (OK: FALSE)

You need to fix the right-hand folder for deleted files.

This is in the profile under Files->Deletions.

changed to network path, and now works.

One question however, how do I keep version of deleted files? Say there was a file called 1.txt then it got delete, therefore it got saved to "deleted" folder, then if new file get created and deleted named 1.txt "deleted" folder gets overwritten with new 1.txt

thanks.
