Bypass Synch Preview?

Postby Kaibosh on Wed Apr 07, 2010 3:45 am

Up until recently, running a profile via command line (/RUNX=profile) the Synchronization Preview was not shown - it would start immediately and I'd end up with the summary (or "No files copied or folders created" if everything was already in synch..)

That no longer happens (version update maybe? - it stopped happening on 2 separate profiles over the past couple of days) and I'd really like that behaviour back.. I've tried finding a setting to control it, but have come up empty.. I've also tried forcing the profile to run in unattended mode, and the preview is no longer shown, but neither is the summary.

Am I overlooking something? Is this available as a setting that I need to change?

Cheers,
Kai

Hello Kai,

yes, a recent update fixed a bug that resulted in the behavior that you want. So currently there is only the /U command line switch which causes a completely unattended operation. I will make another option available to skip only the preview but not the sync results.

Tobias

Awesome - thanks Tobias..
I can definitely live with having to go through the preview knowing that a change is going to happen..

The new version 4.92 now understands the command line parameter /O which means "Only Results", i.e. skip the preview. It's not a fully unattended run though, so depending on your settings, some safety confirmation dialogs might pop up when necessary.
