Download PDFs automatically from S3 using Syncovery

Postby chsinclair on Mon Sep 30, 2013 10:39 am

Is there any way to override the MIME type on a file that Syncovery uploads to S3? We want to force application/octet-stream so that pdf files are downloaded rather than having them open in the browser.

This functionality used to work on an older version of Super Flexible running Mac OX 10.6. Now I have Syncovery 6.32a build 155 on OS 10.8 and pdfs open within the browser by default, and I want them to download automatically. (this is for e-commerce site where customers purchase pdfs and download them for private use.)

Hello,
no, it cannot be overridden. The new PDF MIME type seems to have been added in version 6. I will consider adding an option for you.
Best wishes,
