Tag attribute not being detected?

Hello,
Been using Syncovery for a couple years for my daily backup. Great program.

I've started using tags on my files. Im tagging with LEAP. If I tag a file after it has been backed up already then the tag change isn't picked up for the next backup.

Ive turned off ignore small time differences and I've checked compare attr and extended attr.
Ive also run in root mode to check if that works

the tag attr isn't picked up by Syncovery?

Im running Lion 10.8.5 so the tags are Open Meta format
pps In LEAP i've set the preference to increment the modification date when tags change. I understand it changes it by 2 seconds forward.

I made a small data set to test with and found if I unchecked extended attributes then it detected the timestamp difference. so my problem is solved.
I would be interested to understand why this is though? Is the timestamp ignored if the extended attributes are tested?
