SFFS & Google Docs

Postby asanz on Fri Jan 15, 2010 9:57 am

First of all (and I've said it over and over) SFFS is one of the most well thought out & coded applications I've ever used - period. Now with my gushing out of the way, I have a formal request:

With Google's announcement of opening up Google Docs to be like S3 and other cloud services (http://googledocs.blogspot.com/2010/01/upload-and-store-your-files-in-cloud.html) I'd like to request functionality that allows me to sync Google docs to a local file system via SFFS.

I've asked via email before (...sorry for being pushy...) but this announcement for Google presents an opportunity for SFFS to fill a gap in available utilities that connect local directories to Google Docs (just do a google for GDrive (http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source=hp&q=gdrive&aq=f&aqi=g5g-s1g4&oq=&fp=3642d8d83be4f02e) to see).

Thanks... André

I am working on this now and a first version will be published very soon!

But did you know you have to be a Google Apps Premier customer to upload files with standalone tools? I have just signed up and now it works fine. With my free account, I was only able to download files. Free accounts can upload with Google's web interface only.

Hello,

support for Google Docs is now available. You can choose it as an Internet Protocol if you install the Preview version 5 (build 12 or later).

There is some documentation on usage with Google Docs here:
