Hello,
i am currently evaluating Syncovery and am still not decided if i want to buy.
I am looking for a tool to backup data from several huge ftps with folders going into the thousands.
The biggest problem i have right now is that some of my ftps do not seem to allow the automatic detection of the time zone.
I want Syncovery to only look into folders that have been modified during the last 12 hours for time saving reasons.
On most of my ftps Syncovery detects the timezone and then only scans the folders created or modified in the timeframe i specified.
On some ftps this seems to fail and Syncovery continues to scan thousands of (a year old) folders every single run.
My first question is: Is there an option to just specify a time zone for the ftp instead of the tool trying to find out the timezone by writing data onto the ftp's file system? If not, why is there no function for this?
My second question is: Why does Syncovery still scan folders like \workgroup1_data20140325 if i set up a filter for \workgroup1_* and i check "totally ignore"? Is there an option to tell Syncovery to completely ignore folders? (as in do not scan that folder on every single run)
Thank you.
