Invisible Files

Postby ReservoirProp on Wed Apr 21, 2010 11:47 pm

Since I've been using SFFS, it seems some of my files have become invisible. I can access them via Spotlight, or even with the "Find" option from the menu bar. But, if I use the Finder to navigate normally to the folder in question, I can see nothing. Folders themselves seem to appear no problem - just the files contained in the folders. And more puzzlingly, this phenomenon seems to manifest itself on in certain folders - not all. Any advice or help would be most appreciated.

Hello,

I'm sorry but I've never heard of this problem before. Maybe you need to reset the permissions of the folders. You can do that using Cmd-I while selecting a folder. Give yourself ownership and total access and then choose to apply the changes to all contained items.

Thanks for the reply, superflexible.

I've set the permissions to "everyone" + "Read and Write" (I already had "read & Write" access). All my folders are visible, but the contents (files) remain invisible when viewed through the finder. In other words, no change.
