Exact Mirror Choose Folders and Files

If I am doing an exact mirror Left to Right but I want to exclude a folder from copying to the right side does it matter which side I pick when I click on "Choose Folders and Files"? I have also included an Exclusion Mask for that particular sub-folder.

It does not matter how you exclude it.

Note that excluded folders are ignored by default, and not deleted from the destination. If you want deselected or excluded folders to be deleted, then you need to click the Configure button for the Exact Mirror and choose the desired behavior in the lower part of the dialog.
