Hi,
I just started using SFFS and I love the features. Thinking about using it for an online backup. At some point.
For now I'm trying to use it to synchronize library files between different users on one computer.
At the moment I have it set so on each user account, a 2-way-sync is done, syncing the library file to a folder in the "shared" user folder.
For example:
user_A:
sync those two folders:
HD/Users/user_A/Library/Calendars
HD/Users/Shared/SFFS_Sync/Calendars
user_B:
sync those two folders:
HD/Users/user_B/Library/Calendars
HD/Users/Shared/SFFS_Sync/Calendars
And so on for Application Support/AddressBook, 1Password, some preferences, etc
The point would be to have the same settings available for different users. Now my problem is that the file permissions get copied with the files and after user_A has synced his data with the shared folder, user_B can not access it.
Is there a way to make sure that the file permissions stay read and write for all data in the shared folder?
Maybe I'm just missing a setting where I can choose to NOT copy the file permissions, or something?
Thanks for any help / tipps!
Best,
V
