Syncovery v6 stable: Respect read only source?

Postby Yoshua on Mon Jul 21, 2014 4:10 am

Hello,

i have a problem with Syncovery:

I'd like to set a time zone for my sources, manually. Or at least i'd need an option to disable those "time zone checks".

The reason for this request is i am running backup tasks for some more secure sources via ftp.

My user/pass in one instance allows to read but it does not allow to write on the ftp. (exactly how it should be for a simple backup task) So whenever my task starts, the time zone check fails.

In another instance my login credentials have read and write access but i am not allowed to delete files in the system. Whenever my task starts, it will create the sffs.tz.check.___ file but then i won't be abled to delete it so it sits in the ftp system.

This is starting to become a real problem if i run a job every 10 minutes and i generate error messages or junk files over 140 times per day. :(

I am still hoping that i just missed the option to disable the "tampering" with sources but i really would appreciate some help regarding this matter.

Hello,
please remove the checkmark "Zone:Auto" on the second tab sheet of the Internet/FTP dialog.

Best wishes,
Tobias
