Password Protection

Postby zim2323 on Wed Oct 08, 2014 2:10 pm

I've tested this in v6.71c and v7beta34

I'm trying to figure out if I'm using password protection properly.

I created an INI/profile from my local PC install (profile1.ini) and set Profiles to be password protected.

I then copy the file to my USB drive where I have a portable install of Syncovery. If I run that profile (syncovery.exe /INI=profile1.ini), Syncovery the profile is locked (can't Edit), but the button to unlock the profile is greyed out.

I've tried this from local drive and USB drive now. The only common issue is forcing INI file load from the shortcut. If I drop the profile in my primary install and then load that profile, then it's fine.

As long as I run this from a FULL install, there are no issues. As soon as I try and do this from a portable location (USB drive or another folder on the PC), then it doesn't work.

Is this a bug or am I not understanding how this is supposed to work.

If this is a bug, who/how do I contact to report?

Thanks!

Apparently the /INI command line switch causes this. I'll try to fix it in the next update.
