Pop-up or balloon notifications about errors

Postby probspot3 on Fri Jun 12, 2015 4:26 am

Hello,

I scheduled to run a profile on the local machine with local storage. The storage was not mounted at the time of the profile run -> logically the profile run failed with an error. There was no notification about this error to the user. The error is only visible when opening the Syncovery main window.

There seems to be an option to send E-mails in case of errors. As I'm on the local machine and performing personal backups, I don't need this and would like to be informed locally by some sort of window or pop-up or balloon message if something goes wrong during a scheduled run.

Is it possible to arrange this?

Thank you.

If the scheduler is not running as a service, then it can show some pop-up messages. To get a pop-up if a drive is not connected, you can go to the Program Settings dialog, tab sheet Misc, and choose "Scheduler may prompt to turn on and connect missing drives".

In addition, you need to identify the drive by volume label. Otherwise the pop-up may not appear. To identify it by volume label, type the path like this:

MyExtDrive:\Folder

instead of F:\Folder

So you type the volume label instead of the drive letter.
