Keep X number of previous zip file versions

Postby ServerGuy on Mon Jan 18, 2016 9:52 am

Is there a way to have Syncovery create a zip file of numerous files, then keep X number of those zip file and delete any older than X?

I am creating zip files of logs and need to keep 365 versions (I run the profile once per day which would then give me 1 year of logs files)

Hello,
such an option is currently not available. You could create a clean-up profile as a separate job, though.

To delete older files, you need to mirror an empty folder to the destination using Exact Mirror Mode and choose the File Age filter: Over X Days old.

Try this manually and look at the Sync Preview to make sure it works correctly and deletes the correct files.

Only if it is 100% correct, then go to Safety->Unattended and allow 100% deletions and add the following switch to the [Main] section of the Ini file in order to enable 100% deletions (because 100% of the older files are deleted):

UnattendedDeleteAllIsOK_IfDelPercIs100=YES
