Move folder older than X days

Postby Superbrka on Thu Feb 04, 2016 8:35 am

Hi,

I can't find how to configure a profile to move all folders older than X days, no matter how old are the files in it.
So is there any way to do this?

Thank You

Yes, on the "File Age and Size" tab sheet, you can choose

File Age: over X days

Apply To: Folders

Thank You for your answer

Well, then I guess I've found a bug.

This option will move a folder older then X days but will leave a files at origin place (from chosen folder), if the file is younger than X days. (Ver 7.40a)

Can you check this ?

Hello,
thanks for the report. The bug should now be fixed in version 7.40b.

Hi,

Sorry, once again.

This bug was fixed with the Version 7.40b, but reappears now with the 7.46c.

Can You please check this issue ?

Thank You

No, the bug has not been reintroduced. It must be a different issue. Please analyze it in more detail.

Hello,

I can only confirm this bug.

Use case:
1) Create Folder, with the Sub Folder and one file in it
2) Modify "Change Date" on Main folder 4-5 days back in a past, but leave the Sub folder and the file unchanged (current).
3) Set the Sync profile "Older than 1 Day" and run Sync (Mask & Filters -> File age and size -> File age -> over 1 Day -> Apply to -> Folders)

Will not work - except there is no sub folder with the current date (or younger than limit defined in a profile) - only current files.

I hope this helps

Thank You for your time and efforts

Bye

The subfolder should not be copied according to your settings. Please state the expected behavior and the observed behavior.

It works as designed in my tests. The file is copied, but the subfolder is not. The filter is applied only to the folders. Did you expect something different?

You need to submit a much more detailed report with screenshots where I can see the timestamps of all the relevant items, and the Sync Preview, as well as your settings and the Syncovery version. I need to know the expected behavior as well as the actual behavior.

If your file is not copied, maybe the reason is that it already exists on the destination?
