Best way to specify root folder in path?

Postby jabredehorn on Wed Feb 17, 2016 6:48 pm

If I specify my left folder as this:
C:\Rootfolder\FolderWithLotsOfOtherFolders
and I specify my right folder as:
F:\Backups\Folder1 <- existing folder
will I end up with this?:
F:\Backups\Folder1\FolderWithLotsOfOtherFolders\<many subfolders>
or this?:
F:\Backups\Folder1\<many subfolders>

Thanks.

You will get this:

F:\Backups\Folder1\<many subfolders>

Because both paths on the left and right-hand sides must point to the same position in the hierarchy.

If you want to have FolderWithLotsOfOtherFolders on the destination too, you have to specify it as
F:\Backups\Folder1\FolderWithLotsOfOtherFolders
