Syncing HD<->Google Drive, folder on GDrive not seen?

Postby mentalfloss on Sat Mar 05, 2016 8:41 am

I have a sync between a local HD and GDrive using Smart Tracking, however a folder (and its files) isn't being seen by Syncovery in GDrive every time it runs. They also aren't displayed when I run it in Attended mode and preview all the proposed copy/delete/rename actions.

When I place a copy of the folder (and its files) on the HD, Syncovery wants to copy them over to GDrive even though they already exist there.

The folder isn't listed in the Profile or Global Exclusions, either as a partial keyword match or its full path.

Any ideas where to look and what setting could be missed?

Is the folder seen in the Browse dialog when you edit the profile?

If yes, you could try deleting the cloud cache database. Its path and name is mentioned in every log file. Usually it's in C:\ProgramData\Syncovery\Database and called something like
GoogleDrive_Cache_0123467rudTUk9PVA[email].syncfdb

There are also json cache files but if you delete those, it will take longer to rebuild the database.

If it does not help, there could be a problem processing your file listing. In that case please contact support@syncovery.com so we can exchange some additional log files etc.

As luck would have it, I'm now having to replace the backup hard drive (bad sectors, likely not causing this issue) so I'll see if this behavior happens again in teh future and update this thread on the solution. :)

(I'll email you if none of your previous suggestions seemed to work, then update the thread with the solution)
